The Canadian Government has a toll-free number so all Canadians can call the Canadian Foreign Affairs Department - Iraq Desk and tell our democratically elected Government what you think Canada's stand should be regarding the military intervention in Iraq. The toll-free number is: 1-866-880-4378. (not sure if still active in late 2003)

Don't be blind to what mainstream tells you - there is much more to the story.  I am offering the following suggestions for resources to look up IF YOU: :

1)  consider yourself a citizen of the world and not simply of Canada

2)  consider yourself more a seeker of the common good above your own self interest

3)  want to have a more well-rounded perspective of pre and post-Sept. 11th events

4)  want to learn about history and religion

5)  do not agree with what the US government is doing in Afghanistan and Iraq and other parts of the world

6)  have an open mind and are willing to hear challenges and criticisms of US & Canada's foreign and domestic policy

7)  believe in a people's right to sovereignty and self-determination

8)  believe in international law and support the rule of law

9)  support globalization but not americanization and McDonaldization

10) believe that patriotism does not mean following blindly your political and economic leaders

etc...

I hope you get the point.
