Registration & Abstract Submission

Registration and abstract submission deadline is April 28, 2008. There will be absolutely no exceptions to this deadline as time is required to prepare and print the abstract book for the conference itself. Please download the RTF Registration Form, fill it out, save the file, and then email it to chemcon08@smu.ca along with your abstract which should be a maxiumum of 150 words.

Posters should be a maximum of 3' x 4'. Oral presentations should be 12-13 minutes while 2-3 minutes will be allowed for questions after the presentation.

Registration fees are as follows:

• Undergrad Student: $25
• Graduate Student: $40
• Professional/Professor: $50

Accommodations

This year, guests of ChemCon at Saint Mary's University are invited to stay at Loyola residence throught the Saint Mary's University Residence Department. This building is a 22 storey highrise residence complex on campus, and is directly adjoined to the area where the conference will be being held.

Driving From New Brunswick

Take Highway 104 (a toll highway) to Truro, then take Highway 102 to Halifax. Once nearing Halifax, you have two choices:

Just past the airport, take the 118 to Dartmouth, then the MacKay bridge to Halifax. The bridge toll is $0.75 CDN, and some lanes provide change. Just across the bridge you will see an exit for Robie St. Take this exit and stay on Robie Street until you reach Saint Mary's University at the end of the street on the left just past the final set of traffic lights.

Stay on the 102 until it ends and turns into Bayers Rd. Continue along Bayers Rd., past the Halifax Shopping Centre, and use the right hand turning lane to turn right on to Connaught Ave. After 1.2 km, turn left on Quinpool Rd. and drive 1.7 km along Quinpool Rd. to Robie St. Use the right hand turning lane to turn right on to Robie St., and drive south. Saint Mary's University is at the end of Robie Street on the left just past the final set of traffic lights.

Travel to Halifax by Air

Leave the Halifax Stanfield International Airport and travel on Highway 102 towards Halifax. Following the driving directions above as you approach Halifax.
