1. Go to http://www.smu.ca/conted/online and click on "Log In."

2. Login to Blackboard using your student "s number" and your password. Click on the hyperlink for the class you are enrolled in.

4. Transliterating Asian languages: properly transliterating words from Asian languages into English sometimes requires the use of macrons. To do this you need to install the correct fonts on your computer.

1. Japanese and Korean words can bedisplayed in fonts which can be downloaded at http://koreaweb.ws/brevefonts/ttreadme.html

2. Chinese words can be displayed with tone marks in the TimesPinyin font which can be downloaded at http://www.namkung.com/zev/TimesPinyin.html (Macintosh platforms only).
