Webpage Authoring

1) HTML Tutorials   2) Java and Javascript Tutorials

This page is to be used as a resource for people learning to use HTML, Javascript, and Java. HTML is easy and fun. Below are some sites that will make your task a little easier. As you learn the technical aspects of HTML, you will begin to notice that the "artistic" side of creating webpages is also very important. Concepts such as page layout and graphic design are very important. A webpage with 20 javascripts, java applets, multi-coloured text, and 300k worth of animated GIF's is not necessary to make a good impression. (In fact, it's probably even possible to make an excellent web site with just solid, informative content and a couple of black and white images.) With this in mind, links to serveral sites that specialize in webpage design have been added.

Once you've learned the basics of HTML and the principles of good site design, you may want to add some Java or Javascript to your webpage. Java and Javascript, used sparsely and appropriately, make your webpages more interesting and interactive.
